United signed the 2014 World Cup runner up from Real Madrid 12 months ago for a club record fee of £59.7 million but the winger did not live up to expectations at Old Trafford.
PSG wanted to sign Di Maria last summer and moving to Paris was the players preferred destination but Les Rouge-et-Blue could not complete the deal due to sanctions imposed on them by Financial Fair Play.
The 27-year-old met PSG representatives in Qatar on Tuesday, without the authorization of the Red Devils, and completed a medical before concluding the transfer today.
Di Maria expressed his delight at signing for the French champions, he said: “I am very proud and can’t wait to wear the colours of Paris Saint-Germain”.
Di Maria’s career in Manchester started well, he scored three goals in his first five games, and delivered more assist than any other player at the club last season.
However a combination of injuries and an attempted break-in at his family home led to speculation that the winger was unhappy at the club.
