Elusive East London producer KwolleM kicked off his producing career at the start of 2015, having released his his debut EP, ‘WolleM: Thugs Essence’ in late January- KwolleM saw success with stand out track “Thug Aesthetics” sampling a range of genres and sounds from Jazz’s Chet Baker, Rnb’s R.Kelly to Grime’s Big H and JME.

The producer really caught our attention when his refixed version of Skepta’s Pop hit “Bad Boy”, hit Soundcloud. KwolleM (Mellow K backwards) now follows up with a new release stemming closer to home; a reproduction of Dizzee Rascal’s timeless anthem “Stand Up Tall”. Drawing again from his soulful roots, a “Novi Singers” sample is used to create a soothing refreshing grime record; cementing his self coined concept, Mellow Grime.

But more impressively he once again incorporates skits, this time from KiDULTHOOD, with the sound of the playground bully hitting another student used as part of the drums, conceptually maintaining the grittiness.
