Rap legend DMX is currently in serious condition in hospital after suffering a drug overdose.
Earl “DMX” Simmons, 50, was rushed to a hospital in White Plains, New York last night after a drug overdose led to a heart attack according to TMZ..
TMZ also reports that Simmons is in a critical care unit.
The artist’s condition is currently unknown as conflicting reports suggest he is either showing brain activity or is in a vegetive state.
Simmons has been open about his battle with drug addiction throughout the years and the star last went to rehab in 2019.
Well wishes for the rapper have poured in via social media as the hip-hop community rallies to show support for the rap legend.
DMX emerged on to mainstream the rap scene in the early 90s.
Hits like “Where the Hood At?”, “X Gon’ Give It to Ya”, “Ruff Ryders Anthem” and “How’s It Going Down” mark some of the most popular and successful hip-hop releases of the last two decades.
