Despite the fact that England have exited the 2018 World Cup, the remnants of the World Cup fever can still be felt. Cars are still sporting the St. George’s cross, and flags are still being proudly draped outside windows across the capital. The impact of the World Cup fever has even touched the metaphysical realms of the charts; the song that’s capable of rousing a packed underground train during rush hour; “3 Lions” has claimed this week’s number one spot.

Unsurprisingly after a record breaking week, Drake is still in the driving seat on the albums chart with Scorpion remaining at the top of the pecking order. The Drake dominance is of course not limited to the album charts and much like last week there are no less that nine tracks from the double album that remain in the top 40.

Jorja Smith’s debut Lost and Found is still holding strong at number 34, and after five weeks in the charts, it’s safe to say that it’s going to be here for a few more weeks; hopefully we’ll get some more visuals from the young songstress’s debut.

A$AP Rocky and Skepta’s unstoppable banger “Praise the Lord” has climbed one space now sitting at number 20. After a long hard slog, it is great to see Skeppy finally reaping the rewards of his hard work. His recent headline performance at Lovebox on Friday is further testament to the great bodies of work Skepta has racked up during his decade plus in the game. “Praise the Lord” was one of the tracks that brought the show to a close, and it’s safe to say it went off; Skepta’s hook and chorus bringing the most raucous responses from the sprawling crowd.

AJ Tracey and Not3s are a few spots below the North London behemoth, coming in at number 23 with their wavey summer collab “Butterflies”. AJ has returned the favour and jumped on the final track on Not3s’ new EP Take Not3s 2. The track entitled “Trekked Like me” sees AJ return to the hard barring that originally put him on the map, a video is almost certain, so be sure to keep it locked on GRM Daily for any further developments.

EO’s “German” still refuses to get knocked off the charts. “German” currently holding onto the number 27 spot. Although we are likely to see another offering from EO entering the charts in the not too distant future, as he has just jumped on his first feature with new female vocalist Amelia Monet called “Baddest”. Check out the GRM exclusive right here if you’ve missed it.  “Oh My” is another track is consistently doing well, the collab from Dappy and Ay Em has most certainly proved to be fruitful with their track taking the number 27 spot this week.

B Young’s latest banger “079me” has made significant inroads and is sure to break into the top 40 next week, currently at number 49. With Youtube views as of last week being taken into account when the statisticians behind the charts tally up each artists streaming figures; we’re sure to see plenty more of our favourite UK artists doing numbers in the Official top 40, to see who exactly, be sure to keep it locked on GRM Daily.
