After dropping the sequel to his critically acclaimed No 5 Collaborations Project last week, Ed Sheeran has gone straight into the number one spot on the albums chart with his No 6 Collaborations Project. The original project featured collaborations from P Money, Devlin, Wretch 32, Sway and Ghetts amongst others. Ed Sheeran has gone on to be a global sensation since then, so consequently the collaborations reflect his rising stocks.
Ed has fully gone international with the collaborations on the new number one album, bringing together Young Thug, Meek Mill, Eminem, 50 Cent and Travis Scott.
Keeping with the ethos of the first project, Ed Sheeran brings through the best of British, with the likes of J Hus, Stormzy, Dave and Ella Mai appearing alongside their American cousins. Unsurprisingly, the singles charts have been totally dominated by the various cuts from No 6 Collaborations Project. “Take me back to London” – the Stormzy collab, takes the number three spot and is the highest placing track from the album that features a UK artist.
AJ Tracey’s smash hit “Ladbroke Grove” continues to go from strength to strength and after footage surfaced of it shutting down Scotland, it’s clear that it will be a hit for years to come. The track has jumped six places into the number six spot. Be sure to check out the live lounge version of the track, where AJ was joined by songstress Jojra Smith for a powerful rendition of the track.
Mist and Fredo’s recent collaborative effort “So High” has also jumped several places and now sits just below “Ladbroke Grove” at number seven. Rounding out this weeks top ten, at the number nine spot is Stormzy’s latest single “Crown”.
After the long awaited release of the music video for Dave and Burna Boy’s smash hit “Location” the track has had a resurgence in the charts, going from number 38 to number 13.
The visuals see Dave and co living their best lives at Merky Fest, so as you can imagine we also get a whole host of cameos from the who’s who of the scene at the moment, see if you can spot them all.

A few spots lower at 18, Krept, Kones, Headie One and K Trap’s new banger “I Spy” is this weeks highest new entry. The new track sees Krept and Konan annihilate a drill beat alongside two of the scenes most popping drill aficionados. Young T & Bugsey’s new collaboration with Aitch – “Strike A Pose”, has been one of the hits of the summer so far, climbing two places on last week and grabbing this weeks number 19 spot.
Just below them at number 20 is DBE with their latest catchy inescapable smash “Home P*ssy”. Young Adz and Dirtbike LB certainly have the winning formula at the moment with every track they put out becoming an instant success. The Plug records recently put together another monstrous collaboration with DBE and Offset which we premiered on our channel last night. Catch up with that one right here.
Stormzy’s first number one “Vossi Bop”, now finds itself at number 24 after 11 weeks in the charts. GRM Records very own Jay1 has been doing bits over the last few months. His debut EP One Wave went straight into the top 30 scooping the number 28 spot and his last single “Your Mrs” peaked at number 18 and spent 11 weeks in the charts.
“Mocking it”, has performed just as well, despite slipping just outside the top 30 taking the number 31 spot this week, be sure to catch Jay1 shelling down his sold out tour towards the end of the year.
Young Adz’s second appearance inside this weeks top 40 is his wavey track with Not3s and Remedee “Love of my Life”. The track debuts on the charts at number 37, but with two hitmakers coming together on one song we’re certain that this will soar up the charts in the coming weeks.
