Ella Mai has come a long way since her X Factor days. After the huge global success of “Boo’d Up”, she has finally blessed us with the release of her self titled debut album Ella Mai. The album has features from the likes of John Legend and Chris Brown, so it comes as little surprise then that the it has gone straight into the top 20, currently occupying the number 18 spot. The collaborative effort with Chris Brown entitled “Whatchamacallit” has also enter the top 100 singles chart, and is certain to rise to the top in the coming weeks.
One of the hardest groups in the game WSTRN, also dropped an album Double 3ak which has also entered both the album and the singles charts respectively with their hard collab track “Round Here” which features Skrapz. The fusion of hard bars and wavey melodies cannot remain unappreciated for long and WSTRN are sure to climb up the charts; some of our current favourite tracks from the album are “4Luv” which as the name might suggest, flips a very famous Tupac sample, and “Grindin” which showcases the brilliant synergy between Haile and Louis Rei. Be sure to check out the album yourself right here.
Dave and Fredo are still going strong after breaking records last week, only slipping one place with “Funky Friday”. Dave has promised us some more music after a quiet eight months, hopefully we can continue to expect hits from the young South Londoner. The inescapable club banger at the moment “Aye Caramba” which once more sees Fredo deliver bars in abundance holds on to the number 32 spot for a second week running. Be sure to check out the other hard offering from Young T and Bugsey “En Route” right here.
Although British Summer Time officially comes to an end next weekend, we can be fondly reminded of just what a great summer it was by flinging on “Best Life” by Hardy Caprio and One Acen. The tune is still doing bits and currently sits at number 35. After weeks of pushing, Cadet and Deno Driz’s viral hit “Advice” has grabbed the number 40 spot on this week’s charts. If you missed their latest link up “Pumpy” alongside AJ and Swarmz, check that one out here. Be sure to check back next week for all the latest chart info.
