Unfortunately one of our beloved artists from the scene has not claimed the coveted Christmas number one. However, LadBaby and his charity single “We Built this City on Sausage Rolls” has claimed the number one spot, beating the likes of Arianna Grande and Ava Max. The single becomes the first novelty song to claim the Christmas number one spot since Bob The Builder way back in 2000, proceeds from the single are going to The Trussell Trust to help the 14 million people living under the poverty line in the UK.

Much like last week, and with Christmas around the corner, the top 20 is packed with Christmas classics like Shakin’ Stevens’ “Merry Christmas Everyone”, Band Aid’s’ “Do They Know It’s Christmas” and Wham’s “Last Christmas”. Two tracks that managed to fight the Christmas songs into the top 20 were Post Malone and Swae Lee with their track “Sunflower”. The track takes the number ten spot after nine weeks in the charts and is taken from the new Spider-Man movie. “Zeze” has once again battled off the Christmas tracks and is in at number 15. This track has not gone out of the top 20 in the ten weeks it has charted, so things are looking good for this track for the New Year.

Just outside of the top 20, at number 26 is “Going Bad” which is from Meek Mills latest project Championships. The track features Drake who has stormed the UK charts this year. Cadet and Deno Driz have made it back into the top 40 this week at number 38. This track looks like it will be staying in the charts way into 2019. It is also one of our best performing videos of the year, be sure to check how some of your other favourite GRM videos fared in our round up right here

Dave and Fredo’s “Funky Friday” has been very successful for the last couple of months but is now slowly moving down the charts at number 57. Fredo has popped up elsewhere on the charts at number 75 with a new entry.

He collaborated with Yxng Bane on the track “Problem” which we premiered the video for, check that out here. This track is now becomes Fredo’s seventh to hit the charts, something truly unthinkable a few years ago; we cannot wait for the album to land.

Another transatlantic collaboration has entered the charts at number 80. D Block Europe and Rick The Kid have joined forces on their new track “Tell The Truth”. You can check out the GRM Premiered visuals for the track here

This week 21 Savage dropped his project I Am > I Was which should be set to chart in the New Year. Be sure to check back next week for an update on all the latest happenings on the UK charts.
