Once again, we have a spectacular week of UK music in the charts to report on. After Ramz almost clinched the number one spot in his highly publicised battle with Eminem, we now have some other major achievements this week to reveal.
Let’s start with Fredo. The West London star has soared straight into number five this week with his Tables Turn mixtape. It’s a project that supplies the goods and more, but nothing less is expected from the master creator of the sound of the streets. He’s got features with none other than Not3s, Asco, Mystro and Ratlin on this one, as well as a huge collaboration with Dave East and Desiigner, proving the love and respect stateside for our sound just keeps coming. Shouts to Fredo for this one, charting top five is no easy task but this guy makes it all look simple. Watch out for some visuals from the mixtape coming real soon.
Next, Mist. Birmingham’s very own deserves some major praise this week, he’s catapulted into the charts with the project of the moment, his Diamond in the Dirt EP, which is sitting at number four. We’ve all been patiently awaiting this project for a second now, and it deserves every single bit of praise it’s receiving. Mist has linked up with Nines, Jessie Ware, Not3s Mr Eazy, Fekky and MoStack on this one and of course the project features the one and only Steel Banglez behind production on six of the tracks. It’s an EP that’s supplied anthems for the whole of 2018.
Back to the singles chart. Ramz and his track, the irresistible “Barking” are still riding high at number five from last weeks three, he’s got his follow up single release with visuals on the GRM Daily channel this Sunday, so make sure you check that.
As well as featuring on both Fredo’s and Mist’s groundbreaking album projects, Not3s is carrying his own sitting at number 16 with “My Lover” as well as number 17 with his features on Mabel’s track “Fine Line”. He’s been up to tricks with AJ Tracey in Trinidad this week, you can catch up his photos from the trip on his Instagram.
Still climbing the charts after six weeks, B Young’s “Jumanji” has reached 25 this week. This track seems to be everywhere at the moment to no complaints. We’re looking forward to seeing what he has up his sleeve for his next release.
What a week. Its worth noting that Both Mist and Fredo have achieved their top five album positions with no physical sales, the power of these artists is mad. We can’t wait to see where they’re at next week. Check back on GRM Daily for all the chart updates you need.
