It’s been a long time coming, but after being side lined by the Brits we finally saw the scene get the recognition it deserves. As a result, we’ve seen some resurgences from both the artists that graced the podium clutching the coveted Brit Award, and those who weren’t lucky enough to win; but were still paid homage by virtue of their nomination. Let’s delve straight into this week’s charts and have a look at who’s been doing numbers.

After what will probably go down as one of the most iconic Brit performances in recent memory; Stormzy’s number one debut album Gang Signs & Prayer has burst straight into the number 10 spot, climbing 31 places and if that isn’t incredible enough, the album has already spent an entire year in the charts. His soon to be iconic performance at the Brits, proves that he intends to use this platform for good, rather than just aggrandisement; protect Stormz at all costs!

Another artist who’s seen a resurgence after the Brit Awards is J Hus. Although he criminally didn’t pick up an award for his ground-breaking debut Common Sense, he was up for nomination in three of the toughest categories: Best Track, Best breakthrough and Best album. The Hustler who has spawned countless imitators since the release of Common Sense is now sitting just outside the top 20 at number 23, and after 41 weeks in the charts it’s most certainly no mean feat.

Two of the hardest albums that have dropped so far this year are undoubtedly Fredo’s Tables Turn & Mist’s Diamond in the dirt. Both have seen huge chart success in the first few weeks of their releases entering the top five last week. With start studded track lists featuring the likes of Dave East, Nines, Mo Stack and Not3s there was no way these projects wouldn’t be hits. Both releases are still riding high this week, Tables Turn is sitting comfortably at number 16 and Diamond in the Dirt just below at number 22.

Ramz and the track that you simply cannot escape at the moment “Barking” is still riding the wave coming in at number seven, if you haven’t already had the chance be sure to catch his latest tune “Power”.

Not3s has started off 2018 with a bang. He featured on both Mist and Fredo’s hit projects and has been doing bits with his own endeavours with “My Lover” and his collab with Mabel “Fine Line” both inside the top 20; currently at 17 and 16 respectively.  Be sure to check back next week for the most definitive chart roundup on the net!
