2018 is going to be a good year. After the abundance of amazing UK music that graced our ears last year we’ve figured the only way is up from here. The charts are only proving us right, with each week another homegrown track surpassing all expectations in terms of chart positions. Let’s have a run down of who’s doing bits this week.

First off, Ramz has slaughtered the game. The irresistible “Barking” is at number four this week from last week’s eight, sitting right between Rita Ora and Clean Bandit in the charts. A top five single with your first release is a massive deal that’s got to be commended by all. Ramz linked up with Raye this week, jumping on the remix of her smash hit “Decline”, watch the video for that right here. No doubt this is going to be Ramz’s year.

Not3s isn’t going anywhere soon. One of the best EP’s of last year Take Not3s is back in the top 100 this week after jumping 22 places. His single from the EP “My Lover” is back within the top 20 at number 18. Mabel and Not3s joined forces for a remix for this one, and by the looks of their Instagram this isn’t the last we’re going to see of the pair, new music looks to be dropping soon.

Man still isn’t hot. Big Shaq the international globe trotter is at nine from last week’s three. In total the track has had nine weeks in the top 10 out of 16 weeks in the chart in total, not too shabby at all. Michael Dapaah’s SWIL episode one also hit the million views mark this week so congrats are due to him. If you’ve missed it, we’ve got all the episodes for you here.

At 21 this week is Dave and MoStack with their Steel Banglez produced “No Words”. It’s undoubtedly a smash hit and we hope not the last collaboration between these three. That Steel Banglez sound is set to dominate this year, more from him coming real soon.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, J Hus’ Common Sense album is an eternal provider. The certified gold album is at 35 this week in the album listings, jumping 12 spots from last week’s 47. “Bouff Daddy” is also sitting at 27 in the singles charts this week. Everyone is patiently waiting for new material from him, and he seems to be on it judging by his Instagram posts. Stay tuned for that.

That’s that for this week. Check us next week when we will have another roundup of our where our favourites are doing in the official charts. It’s only going to get bigger!
