Donae’O has been a mainstay in the UK urban scene for well over a decade now, being instrumental in the UK Funky scene and making catchy and infectious tracks that stand the test of time. Over the past few years, he has been able to stay relevant and worked along some of the most exciting and new talent including Big Tobz and Blittz [“My Circle“], Belly Squad [“About That“] and Bonkaz [“Don’t F@%# With My Money“]. Last week, we even premiered Kyze’s latest effort, “Sun’s Up” which featured the man himself, and this week sees Donae’O release his latest solo effort, “Polo”.
The track is what we have come to expect from Donae’O, with a skippy afrobeat infused instrumental and a catchy hook and sing-along ability. The message is clear; he has worked hard for his money and he is enjoying the spending of his hard earned cash, buying all the Gucci and Polo he can. The track is the second track taken from his upcoming album, ‘The Grey Area’, which he assures us “is coming fam” and be his first full project since 2015’s ‘The Heisinberg EP’. With “Polo” serving as as a taster and with his track record, would surely serve as a late summer soundtrack.
