In the latest win for Canadian artist Drake, it has been revealed that the artist has achieved over 50 billion streams on Spotify.

Drake was previously announced at the Artist of the Decade by Spotify after accumulating 28 billion streams in the 2010s thanks to massive tracks like “One Dance” and “God’s Plan”.

Now it has been announced that the rapper has received over 50 billion streams on just Spotify alone.

Revealing the win on Twitter, industry Twitter chartdata said, “.@Drake has now surpassed 50 billion streams on Spotify across all credits. He is the first artist in history to hit this milestone.”

To put this into context, in 2018, it was reported that Drake had 50 billion streams in total across all platforms.

The news comes as the world awaits the release of Drake’s sixth studio album titled Certified Lover Boy which is tipped to drop this month.

Drake is also gearing up to drop new Nocta x Nike gear and hopefully resume touring once current Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
