After months of speculation, Drake has confirmed that his highly anticipated sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy will drop this summer.

Speaking in an interview with URLTV during their NOMEXI event, Drake put rumours to rest and let fans know that the album will be out before the end of the summer.

When asked if it will be out this season, he said: ““Oh yeah, I’ll be there. My album will be out by then.”

This comes as it was announced that Drake is teaming up with Live Nation to open a new concert and entertainment venue in his hometown Toronto.

According to Variety, the 2,500 capacity venue called History plans to host 200 events and concerts annually and the venue has been in development for three years, with construction likely to finish this summer.

In a statement, Drake said: “Some of my most memorable shows were playing smaller rooms like History. I wanted to take those memories and what I learned to create an incredible experience for both the artists and the fans.”

Live Nation’s Preisdent and CEO Michael Rapino said: “We saw an opportunity to bring Toronto a great new venue, and we have so much gratitude and respect for Drake teaming up with us to bring it to life in the best way possible.”

This latest business venture from Drake comes after a success Nike x NOCTA drop and his Better World Fragrance line.

Fans are also patiently awaiting the release of Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album which is slated for release this year.

In the meantime, the Canadian superstar has lended verses to new projects by Nicki Minaj and Migos.
