Canadian star Drake has postponed the release of his long-awaited album, Certified Lover Boy.

Back in October, Drake announced the album would be arriving this month but he took to Instagram to reveal it will no longer be dropping in January as he is “dedicated to recovery” from a leg injury.

“I was planning to release my album this month, but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” Drake wrote in an Instagram story.

“I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”

Drake didn’t go into too much detail about his leg injury but in October he shared an image online of his leg in a brace. He has since been posting videos of him recovering and building up his strength in the gym.

A new release date hasn’t been set for Certified Lover Boy – which will be his sixth studio album – but he’s promised it will definitely be arriving at some point this year.
