Following the release of the critically acclaimed “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” earlier in the week, rumours are swirling that Drake and Rick Ross are working on a joint album.
As consolation for the delayed release of his sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy, Drake offered fans a Scary Hours 2 project on Friday which housed three new tracks from the artist.
“What’s Next” and “Wants and Needs” accompanied the Rick Ross featuring track and fans were left impressed by the latest Rozay/Drizzy collab.
With many fans discussing a want for this collab album, NFL player Chad ‘Ocho Cinco’ Johnson took to Twitter to suggest that he is privy to information that confirms this.
Ocho Cinco tweeted, “The joint album they’re doing together with unseat all projects they’ve done to date” in response to a tweet from Rap Caviar which celebrated the two rappers.
The tweet should be taken with a pinch of salt but it isn’t impossible for a sports start to be in the know when it comes to forthcoming hip-hop releases.
NBA star Lebron James has been nicknamed “A&R James” thanks to his influence in music and his possession of unreleased tracks.
Drake and Rick Ross were due to release a joint project titled YOLO back in 2012 following the release of “Free Spirit” and “Aston Martin Music”.
The tape was never released but the two continued to work together on tracks like “Gold Roses” and “Money in the Grave.”
