Drake’s Pick 6ix restaurant in his hometown of Toronto has been shut down, according to reports.
The upscale sports bar was closed after the owner of the building cut the lease as a result of unpaid rent.
Pick 6ix hadn’t been too much of a success with multiple customers writing complaints of high prices and poor service online.
The restaurant ‘temporarily’ closed due to flooding a few weeks ago, however, it’s said that the landlord of the restaurant terminated its lease prior to the flooding issue. The landlord reportedly tried to contact Drake’s management on a number of occasions before closing the restaurant and sending off a bill of $67,514.73 in unpaid rent to the Canadian star.
Jeff Darby, operations manager for the Pick 6ix restaurant said; “We have always paid rent on time and this month is no different, despite a number of issues with the building — including two floods in the past two years due to issues with the pipes.”
Drake is yet to comment on the matter.
