Taken off the recent release of Dyologue, Dyo has dropped visuals for the opening track of the release, “Real”.
With production from the renowned producer Jae5 and the man responsible for Stomzy’s “Own It”, Jay Weathers, this offering was always going to give us a smooth and high standard of instrumentation. We hear tones taking inspiration from the afro swing genre, as well as a mellow and calmly arranged drum pattern.
This artist demonstrates gentle lyrical melodies, with great emphasis on switching up the tempo of her flow, using delicate transitions between verses.
Dyo speaks briefly on the nature of the track – “Real is about being honest with yourself and not living your life through other people’s lens”.
The visual direction that went into creating the tracks video mirror the feel and energy of the musicality. We see emotionally provoking scenes with seamless panning and simple effects used to emphasise the song’s message.
