In deciding to leave the EU, it is looking more and more likely as the days go by that we well and truly played ourselves.

Further evidence of this can be seen with a new announcement made by President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker. In pointing out his vision for the next decade, Mr Junker made it clear that he wants to introduce 5G and free WiFi internet for all of the EU’s members by 2020.

He states, “We need to work for a Europe that empowers our citizens and our economy. And today, both have gone digital.

“Digital technologies and digital communications are permeating every aspect of life. All they require is access to high-speed internet. We need to be connected. Our economy needs it. People need it.”

Over to you Theresa May…
