Eurostar just changed the game by announcing the arrival of direct trains from London to Amsterdam by the end of the year, just in time for Christmas.
The journey will take around four hours, with two services a day running initially.
Although flights to Dam are pretty cheap, the thought of boarding the super quick Eurostar all the way there without the hassle of a low budget airline’s rules and regulations sounds pretty ideal.
There has been an overall reduction in the price of all Eurostar journeys to various destinations lately in order to compete with airlines such as EasyJet and Ryan Air who currently offer flights for around £25.
What is certain is that those spontaneous Amsterdam trips just got made a little more doable, which is surely good news for us all.
