Eurovision 2021 is set to start on the 18th of May and will take place in Rotterdam.

James Newman is set to represent England with “Embers”, a bold dance offering which is hoped will win the UK the Eurovision prize for the first time since 1997.

American rapper Flo Rida will feature on San Marino’s entry track.

The “Low” rapper joins Senhit on the Eurovision entry track “Adrenalina” which borrows elements of europop and latin pop to create a catchy release.

San Marino is a small Italian speaking republic with a population of around 33,600 people.

In a recent interview, executive supervisor of Eurovision Martin Osterdahl addressed the impact of Covid-19 on the annual song contest.

Martin said, “This isn’t a holiday trip, this is actually a job that needs to be done”

“We have been in close contact with organisations like Formula 1, the tennis tour, the golf associations, and learned from best experience. We’ve compared our plans to the likes of the International Olympic Committee.”

“Hopefully we’ll have some audience, it makes a huge difference to the atmosphere of the broadcast if we have some people present.”

Flo Rida is expected to release his fifth studio album this year which will follow his critically acclaimed project Wild Ones which housed the hits “Good Feeling”, “Whistle” and “I Cry”.

In the UK, live music events are expected to return from the 21st June as per Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown.
