Eva Apio has set up a charity organisation to help the youth in her home town in Uganda, as well as other countries in Africa.
Named the Eva Apio foundation, the description reads: “An organisation that responds to the needs of children and young people from diverse backgrounds and ethnic groups.”
It continues: “The foundation’s main objectives include raising the profile of Uganda/African children and creating awareness of their needs in ways that promote a positive lifestyle through sports and health living for change as well as ensuring that children are provided with therapy post trauma and are aware of the risks of abuse, know their rights, and have skills to protect themselves as well as support orphans affected by civil wars, HIV etc by assisting them to improve their lifestyle.”
The full announcement and aims of the charity is available to read below.
The model tweeted about the foundation she had set up, along with a gofundme page where you can donate directly to the charity, which you can find here. Just under £2,000 of the £60,000 target has been raised already.
