DJs and revellers alike were all stunned by Islington Council’s decision to revoke Fabric’s license. Having been open for almost a decade, the club was a favourite spot for all walks of life, and the thought of 250 jobs being lost is just another blow.
However, it was announced today that thankfully the club will appeal against the decision, but will remain closed until the appeal is sorted. The appeal is backed by the Night Time Association, and seeks up to £500,000 to help cover some of Fabric’s legal fees.
Yesterday, a Facebook page was set up organising a protest against the closure – read more here.
