When there are big events awash with TV cameras, pranksters are certainly never far behind.
Hoping for their 5 minutes of fame, or for the lure of their prank going viral, two pranksters that targeted the grand Olympics/Para Olympics homecoming that took place yesterday in Manchester. They snuck onto the athlete’s float masquerading as a pair of medal winners themselves, dressed in team GB tracksuits and complete with their Gold medals no less (apparently they’re a couple of Gold medal Fencers). But sadly, their victory was short lived as a Sky News presenter was quick to expose them with a flurry of questions that caught the pair out live on air, as they awkwardly stumble over their words.
The presenter asks them “What did you win?” crumbling under the weight of the question the prankster responds by saying: “So that was the Olympics, sorry the fencing in the Olympics.” Not content, the presenter goes for the kill and says “”Was it a blagging Olympics?”
