Fat Joe revealed that Drake could’ve been on the “All The Way Up” Remix if it hadn’t been for Jay-Z.
Speaking to Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg on his late-night show Open Late, the rapper explained that a number of artists tried to jump on the remix, including Drizzy, but ultimately Hov wanted the iconic track to be just the two of them, to put a final end to their ongoing feud.
Fat Joe explained: “I got a FaceTime call maybe three times while ‘All the Way Up’ was out, and it was your man, the 6 God, Drake.
“[Jay-Z] said ‘Look, Joe. It means so much to the history between us, let’s not put no one else on the song’. He’s not referring to Drake. … Everyone wanted to get on the remix.”
Apparently an instrumental was sent over for the OVO king to spit on, so let’s hope we get to hear that remix one day!
