To support Black talent within the music industry and the arts, Fekky has launched a brand-new organisation named the C&C Foundation.
Named after Fekky’s two sons, the foundation is a grassroots organisation which aims to empower the next generation of creatives from the Black British community using events, schemes and workshops.
Fekky has said his initial focus will be on his home borough of Lewisham and he is currently looking for people, companies and businesses to support and invest in the organisation.
Announcing the C&C Foundation on his socials, Fekky wrote: “There’s so much speculation around all these organisations n charities I just decided to do my own ! So welcome to #CCfoundation and we will mean anything we say we will follow throw with it!
“My first target will be my own borough of LEWISHAM to start with [..] We wanna focus on ,help with talents such as music and arts , regeneration , mental health , community building , and hopefully get to a point where we can offer start up business loans.
“I have my own ideas but I believe the community isn’t one person so I’m looking for a board of 5 – 10 people from the area ( people can nominate people.
“I am also reaching out to companies n businesses to invest in our fund the same way we support their brands.. and build em. I strongly feel investment should be plugged into the grass roots of areas that produce talents such as myself or a boxer like anthony Joshua or a footballer like Rahim sterling.”
