Fekky gets deep on his newest release, “Lil Brudda”.
This track is taken from his forthcoming mixtape 4life, which is due to drop in late January and depicts the hard nature of the life for the youth in modern day life, rapping: “Take time likle brudda, these streets are’t safe likle brudda”. Through the lyrics, we can really hear the emotional connection Fekky has with this subject matter.
The listener is gifted with a minor piano lead, paired with a contrasting and fast percussion sequence. The vocal style shows a side to Fekky that we rarely see and demonstrates his versatility as an artist.
Speaking on the track, Fekky said: “It’s a message to the youth as there’s a lot of pressure for kids these days… the lyrics are the best way for me to express myself and talk to them, explaining what I’ve been through and highlight the trials and tribulations that you might face.”
