After a mountain of chart success, Nigerian hitmaker Fireboy DML has dropped his third studio album, Playboy.

The 26-year-old Afrobeat star’s project was preceded by the transatlantic banger “Peru”, the choppy riddim-infused title track and the sun-kissed Asake-assisted “Bandana”.

For the 14-track outing, Fireboy brings some of his friends along for the ride, sandwiching features from Shenseea, Ed Sheeran, Rema, Euro, Chris Brown and Asake across the album.

“Sofri” stands as one of Playboy’s many standout moments. Fireboy croons effortlessly over solid percussive elements and silk-woven background vocals. Equally, the P.Priime-produced “Adore” features blasé rap verses counterbalanced by romance-driven subject matter.

Album closer “Glory” acts as a perfect swansong for the record. With shimmering guitar riffs and a stadium-ready tempo, it’s hard not to be enthralled by the track’s warm and catchy aura.

With a solid collection of summer-ready jams, afrobeat foundations and hip hop, rock and pop-inspired musings, Fireboy DML has exceeded all expectations on Playboy.
