Emerging London trio are the latest act to sit down on Genius’ Verified series!
FLO, are bringing back the late 90s and early 2000s girl group R&B vibes, reminiscent of TLC but right from our own home soil. The group is made up of Renee, Stella – who have known each other since they were 5 years old – and Jorja, who met the other two ladies just over two years ago, but their chemistry together seems like it’s been a lifetime they’ve known each other.
After uploading covers of songs of the likes of SZA and Jazmine Sullivan for a while, they decided to put their ideas together by fusing the genres that inspire them the most: R&B and pop.
Together with MNEK’s handiwork on production, they released their breakthrough single “Cardboard Box”, which describes getting yourself together after a breakup, earlier this year.
The girls have now linked up with Genius to dissect the track and you can take it in in the video above!
