According to reports from the Agence France-Presse (AFP), four people have been arrested in India for leaking an episode of HBO’s hit show, Game Of Thrones.
The four people arrested have been accused of “criminal breach of trust and computer-related offences” for leaking last week’s new episode of Game Of Thrones titled “The Spoils of War”.
In a statement to the AFP news agency, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Akbar Pathan, said, “We investigated the case and have arrested four individuals for unauthorised publication of the fourth episode from season seven.”
Those arrested are employees of a Mumbai-based company responsible for processing and storing TV episodes for an app which gave them the liberty of accessing the episodes. The case was filed by the company.
HBO has not commented on the arrests.
