After yesterday when a mysterious loop appeared on on Frank Ocean’s website and everyone went mental, it appears this morning we’ve all woken up to more news about his album’s release.

According to the New York Times’ suspicious source, “a person with knowledge of the release plans”, Ocean’s album is set to release this Friday 5th of August through an exclusive deal with Apple Music.

The drop is also expected to include a video release too, as well as a printed magazine aptly titled “Boys Don’t Cry” which will be available in Apple Stores.

The album is expected to remain an Apple exclusive for two weeks before coming widely available, according to the source who was “not authorised to discuss the release plans and therefore spoke on condition of anonymity.”

We’ll believe it when we see it.

…But we’re still excited as hell.

MONDAY 1ST AUGUST:

July 31st, the alleged release date of Frank Ocean’s mythical new album Boys Don’t Cry, has come and gone and yet the album still hasn’t materialised.

After numerous delays, we do however have an update of sorts. Frank’s website has literally JUST changed, and now includes a mysterious live stream.

All we can see so far is a couple of work benches in an empty warehouse, and all we can can hear is white noise. There is an Apple Music logo adorning the top right corner however, so surely we can expect some sort of music today?

We’ll keep you updated, but in the meantime, patiently watch the live stream on Twitch above or on Frank Ocean’s official website here.

It’s believed that Frank is doing a take on John Cage’s “4’33″”. In this, he sits at the piano for 7 minutes without playing a single note. How long is he gonna keep us waiting?! Watch that here.
