GALA, London’s leading independently run electronic music gathering, has revealed the complete programme for its 2026 return to Peckham Rye Park, taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend from 22–24 May. Continuing its reputation as a cornerstone of the city’s underground dance landscape, the festival remains rooted in community and cultural intent. This year’s concept, The Floor Is Ours, foregrounds shared space and collective expression, positioning the dancefloor as something built, owned, and energised by the people who inhabit it.
The opening Friday sets the tone with a bold celebration of UK rap heritage, bass-driven sounds, and soundsystem traditions. Peckham heavyweight Giggs headlines in a significant hometown appearance, joined by grime stalwarts Novelist and D Double E, the latter linking up with fast-rising producer Hamdi. Garage energy arrives via Conducta and Todd Edwards, while Dirty Hit’s dh2 platform hosts cutting-edge club selections from George Daniel (The 1975), Oscar Farrell, Or:la and Pariah. Elsewhere, sub-heavy sonics come courtesy of Mala, Djrum, Objekt, CCL, Carré, Beatrice M., Bakey and Mia Koden, with Benji B and Judah of Deviation shaping the main stage’s direction. With deep roots in pirate radio and soundsystem culture, Friday stands as GALA’s most expansive opening statement to date, supported by stage curators including NTS, Rinse FM, HVYWGHT and BORN N BREAD.
