Legendary hip-hop duo Gang Starr and J Cole have supplied the visuals for their new, laid-back tune entitled “Family and Loyalty”.
With a relaxed, boom-bap style instrumental – produced by DJ Premier – with a cold piano sample shining through, we hear the late MC Guru hit the beat with a smooth hook, before he slides into a relaxed verse where he touches on societal issues. J.Cole then jumps in with his extremely high standards as he switches up his flow comfortably, his maturity in this game is highlighted once again as he manages use his complex lyrical flow to paint the perfect picture with his words.
The visuals are smooth, and simple as we see a sick narrative shine though, with a number of heart-warming scenarios, comparing family and love with shiny diamonds.
