SO WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO REP ESSEX INSTEAD OF EAST LONDON?
It would’ve been a lot easier, but I don’t see a lot of rappers repping Essex. Apart from Potter Payper, there’s a few others, but there’s not many. Plus, my postcode is in Essex, so I’d be lying. There’s lot more that represent London. It’s only right.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE GUILTY PLEASURE?
Let’s take it old school, Limp Bizkit.
WHO ARE YOUR BIGGEST MUSICAL INFLUENCES?
I wouldn’t say there’s an individual, I’m inspired by different genres. I grew up listening to reggae cos my mum used to play reggae all the time, different genres. Hip-hop, rap of course, R&B, just a mixture. There isn’t one thing I’m inspired by.
WHAT WOULD WINNING THE COMPETITION MEAN TO YOU?
It would mean a lot. If I’m honest, it would be amazing.
WHAT DID YOU THINK OF LAST YEAR’S RATED AWARDS AND WHAT DID THEY MEAN FOR THE SCENE?
It was sick. It brought unity to the scene. It brought artists together, it can only be a good thing. It was really good.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE KA FLAVOUR
It has to be Black Grape. It has to be.
