Ghetts and Skepta have finally come together on a track, linking up to deliver a big single entitled “IC3”.

Despite featuring in a few freestyles together since they both emerged in the noughties, the two icons have never joined forces on a track – until today. Both Skepta and Ghetts have reached legendary status in the music industry with their consistency and talents on the mic and on “IC3”, they combine their refined skills to give us a legendary collaboration.

Titled after the police-speak for identifying a black person in Britain, the joint effort from the pair is a powerful one which they use to go to back to back with some empowering lyrics from start to finish. With lyrics such as “Who would’ve thought back then/We’d be some powerful black men” from Ghetts, and Skepta speaking on his decision to reject an MBE from the Queen, the track is filled with striking bars – resulting in a bold and historic collab from two of the scene’s veterans.

Mixing together animation and live-action, the visuals directed by Ruff Mercy and Hector Dockrill make for an important and engaging watch.
