Ahead of the release of her highly-anticipated debut album this summer, Greentea Peng gives us our first taster of what to expect from the boundary pushing project.
“Nah It Ain’t The Same” is a lucid and free-flowing cocktail of jazz and neo-soul influences, starting off as an entrancing double bass-heavy track. However, it develops into a drum and bass inspired anthem right towards the end – a fusion that only Greentea Peng could craft.
The beat, performed by her live house band The Seng Seng Family, presents a plethora of pockets for Greentea to jump in and glide across.
If this track is any indication of what to expect from the south Londoner this year, then we are all in for a treat.
