South London singer-songwriter Greentea Peng has provided us with the remix to her single “Free My People”.
Taken from her debut album MAN MADE, the original track sees Greentea Peng trade vocals with Kid Cruise and Simmy to create a powerful yet smooth vibe to demand for freedom and contributing to this remix is The Streets’ legendary Mike Skinner.
As well as upping the tempo on this remix, Mike Skinner also comes through with his laid-back vocals to add to the contemplative tone of the single.
“Greentea Peng was the last person I did a show with before lockdown and almost the first after lockdown,” Skinner said when shedding light on the collab. “Between then she appeared on my album and her album is amazing. I hope I did the subject matter justice, it’s an important subject! Free up the guys!”
