Grenfell Athletic FC have enlisted 72 names from the world of music, sport and entertainment to launch their brand-new kit.
Founded shortly after the tragic Grenfell fire in 2017, the football club was created by Rupert Taylor as a community hub with the aim of being a positive outlet for those affected by the incident.
Stars such as Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane are just some of the names supporting the new kit launch in a bid to generate global awareness and solidarity the team’s own #FabricOfTheCommunity mantra.
The new home (green) and away (pewter) kits include the GAFC crest, as well as a tribute to the 72 people who lost their lives in the fire nearly four years ago. All funds raised will go into the development of the football club and its aspirations to create women’s and junior teams.
Speaking on the kit launch, founder of Grenfell Athletic FC Rupert Taylor said: “We’re so proud to release our brand new kits to the world and are absolutely blown away by the support we’ve received to date.”
“I was born and raised in this diverse area. It’s both my house and my playground. W10 and W11 is my home and these lads are my brothers. This team is an outlet, a safety net for our family and together we enrich our community. Now, we’re excited to take this grass roots football club to the net level”.
The new Grenfell Athletic FC kits are available to purchase from Kitlocker right here, and those who miss out on the drop are still able to show their support for the club using AR filters on Instagram Stories.
