WHAT WOULD BE THE DREAM UK-US COLLABORATION? YOU DECIDE! #DREAMCOLLAB

Collaborations between UK MCs and US rappers are an irresistible phenomenon, delivering an Atlantic Ocean of anticipation and then appreciation, as those contrasting accents reverberate through your speaker.

Recently, we saw Pharrell feature on Skepta’s “Numbers” and Section Boyz link-up with Chris Brown for “Whippin’” and “Shabba”. In the past, there’s been some other notable transatlantic link-ups. Giggs and B.O.B, Chip and Meek, Skepta and Drizzy, Krept & Konan and French Montana, to name a few.

These collaborations give us a chance to see how the artists’ contrasting styles blend, how they stand up lyrically against each other, and normally provide a few sick quotables to bang on the Insta.

You will probably have your own verdict on which of the aforementioned collaborations were the best – I know I do. But who would you most like to see on a tune together?

We want to know your #dreamcollab. If you could get any UK MC and put them on a tune with any American rapper, who would you pick?

Tweet your suggestions at @GRMDaily with #dreamcollab somewhere in there. By counting up those suggestions, we will get a shortlist of finalists. Tweets and retweets count double as much as likes.

From that shortlist, you will decide on a winner. We will then reveal your #dreamcollab. Who knows, maybe the artists themselves will take note.

Remember, tweets must be at @GRMDaily and include #dreamcollab.

So, get those twitter fingers at the ready. What is the #dreamcollab? One UK artist, one US one (Canada counts), and it can’t be one that’s already been done! Here are a few names to get you thinking…
