Many people have had to keep up with the news and statistics for the last couple of months due to a worldwide pandemic going on, but with the news at our fingertips, everybody has access to information, and sometimes it’s not always a reliable source.

On the latest Halfcast Podcast episode, Chuckie and Poet sat down for a serious conversation about whether or not we have a moral duty to watch the news and to know what’s going on in the world and whether or not you can trust the information that you’re reading. The pair focus on humanity and whether or not they feel the need to try and make a difference.

Adding to the conversation, Poet gave his opinion on the topic: “Watching the news in this country, consuming it for large proportions of your life, if you want to live by the country’s standards, makes perfect sense.

“If you want to live by England’s governed standards, and you want to live a lifestyle surrounded by that, I think you should watch the news. If you want to live a life where you govern your thoughts, as much as you can, if you want to life a live where you’re obsessed with progression and not discussion, you shouldn’t watch the news.”

The pair then continue to discuss religion and express their own views on the news.
