Harry Redknapp is being considered as the next manager of Nigeria.

Current
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr’s contract is expiring at the end of the month and there is a bit of uncertainty regarding his future at the team.

This has prompted the Nigerian hierarchy to review its options, with the possibility of enlisting Redknapp to coach the team.

A Super Eagles source stated: “
The feeling is Harry Redknapp will be coming to manage Nigeria soon.’’

The African nation and the former Tottenham boss discussed the role back in 2016, but talks failed and this time round they are optimistic that they will complete a deal.

Despite
being closely linked with the England job back in 2012, Redknapp is yet to manage an international side.

His last job was at St Andrew’s but in September 2017 he was shown the door and said there was “every chance” that it was his last job in football.

Redknapp has also led QPR, Birmingham, Bournemouth, West Ham, Portsmouth and Southampton throughout his career.
