The two British fighters David “The Hayemaker” Haye of South London, and Tony “The Bomber” Bellew of Merseyside are in negotiations for a rematch set to be held at the O2 Arena in London. The date being touted is Sunday, December the 17th, and will likely be on Sky Box Office.
The two former world champions clashed earlier this year on the 4th of March, with the fight again taking place at the O2. In the 11th round Haye’s corner threw in the towel, giving Bellew the victory in a thriller of a fight. Losing to a former cruiserweight was quite damaging to the ego of David Haye, making the rematch even more important as he reaches the twilight of his career.
The relationship between the two soured as their rivalry erupted at a heated pre fight press conference on the 30th of November 2016, so let’s hope the bad blood between them gives us as long a fight, or a KO in the rematch!
