It’s a great week for Black British music as it has now been announced Headie One and D-Block Europe have claimed the top 2 spots in this week’s album charts with their debut LPs!
Last week (October 9), north London’s Headie One released his highly-anticipated album EDNA and the project has secured the top spot in the UK charts – marking Headie’s first evert Number 1 album.
DBE’s Young Adz and Dirtbike LB also released their first studio album in the form of The Blue Print – Us Vs Them last week and the record has taken the Number 2 spot in the charts.
Coming in at Number 3 is a new collection album from The Beatles’ late John Lennon titled Gimme Some Truth.
The Blue Print is DBE’s fourth time securing a top 10 in the album charts, with their 2019 projects Home Alone, PTSD and Street Trauma peaking at Number 6, 4 and 9 respectively. EDNA is Headie’s second record to reach the top 10, after his Music x Road mixtape charted at Number 5 last May.
Both EDNA and The Blue Print have been well received since their release and now their popularity has been reflected in this week charts!
