It has now been announced that Headie One is in the running for this week’s UK Number 1 album with his debut LP, EDNA.
The Official Charts announced the news on Twitter, writing: “@HeadieOne’s Edna is the most-streamed album of the week so far and is in the running for Number 1 on Friday.”
The north London artist is currently at Number 2 in the midweek album charts, following behind Scottish group Travis and their ninth studio album, 10 Songs. At Number 3 is The Beatles’ late John Lennon whose new collection of some of his biggest hits, Gimme Some Truth, sits at Number 3.
While his previous projects Music x Road and Drillers & Trappers 2 with RV peaked at Number 5 and Number 21 respectively in the UK album charts, Headie’s debut album EDNA – which dropped on Friday (October 9) – will be his first Number 1 album if he takes the top spot on Friday.
D-Block Europe can also be found in the midweek charts, with their first ever LP The Blue Print – Us Vs Them currently sitting at Number 5.
Make sure you purchase and keep streaming EDNA and The Blue Print to see Headie One and DBE in the top spots of the charts this Friday.
