Headie One has gone international with this one. On his new single “Link In The Ends”, he enlists the aid of French rapper Koba LaD to skate on the track with him.
The Tottenham rapper’s cadence is on point, as he uses cut-throat lyrics to detail who he is and where he comes from. He even points out that even though he’s spent some time in France he still can’t speak French. Even though he’s out of the hood, he still knows where he came from and won’t pretend to be someone he isn’t, as evidenced by the face he brings all his people to Paris with him.
Koba’s more melodic rap style creates a sonically pleasing balance and makes “Link In The Ends” a wavy track to listen to.
