Hermes has angered customers by misplacing over 30,000 parcels.
The courier service delivers packages from most of our favourite brands and high streets stores and according to reports, it took two days for Hermes to notice the issue which displaced thousands of customer orders.
Thanks to a faulty scanning machine, the postcodes on packages were misread which led to items being delivered to the wrong addresses or just not arriving at all.
Online shopping has grown dramatically during the coronavirus lockdown – with statistics suggesting an increase of over 80 per cent.
