Radio 1Xtra is this year celebrating 20 years of being on the airwaves and they’ve come through with a new documentary.
It details the black music station’s beginnings and plots all the way to the present day, featuring interviews with broadcast talent of past and present, like Trevor Nelson, Twin B, Yasmin Evans, Nadia Jae and many more too. If you’re unfamiliar with how influential the station has been in the growth of UK black music, then this short film is sure to fill in any gaps.
