Homelands is a once in a lifetime global journey of discovery for contemporary UK black music artists Shakka (Dominica), Saskilla (Senegal), Terri Walker (Jamaica) and Diztortion (Suriname) – who explore their heritage and culture in a series of short films.

There will be two very special showcase events this month to premiere the films, as well as a performance of a special commissioned one-off track that was composed, performed and produced whilst in their homeland country alongside a local artist of note.

With this exploration into the arts and music of Dominica, Senegal, Jamaica and Suriname, these events will be a must-attend for anybody interested in arts & culture and the generational impact of influence on today’s modern black music.

They will be taking place at the following dates and venues:

18 OCTOBER 2016 at the Old Rep Theatre, Birmingham – 8pm – TICKETS
19 OCTOBER 2016 at the BFI, Southbank, London – 8pm – TICKETS
