Honey G has claimed that her character is a form of cultural appropriation as she speaks to BBC Radio 4.
The 2016 X-Factor finalist admitted that she doesn’t come from the ghetto or a poverty background but claims that she celebrates music and the culture behind hip-hop. She also openly tells the BBC that she aims to one day receive a MOBO award for her contribution to the hip-hop scene.
Over the years, social media has been very negative towards the rapper, she says she is subjected to the same type of discrimination as the N.W.A collective. Slightly controversial.
