French-Cuban sibling duo Ibeyi have enlisted Coventry’s very own Pa Salieu to create a new single titled “Made Of Gold”.
This collaboration from the two acts is a striking one that sees Ibeyi trade vocals – and powerful lyrics – with Pa Salieu to piece together a spiritual piece of material.
“Made of Gold” is about connecting to our ancestors’ knowledge, to the truths of the past and the power of the ancient,” Ibeyi said of the song. “The line is not broken, nor is it lost. Protected by these spells, our third album will see us conveying our reconnection to that power and channeling that magic into our new music.”
