Although we all deny it, there’s a definite ego boost when your selfie bangs the likes on Instagram.
Well, it turns out that the time of day you post your pictures actually does have a direct affect on how many like you’ll get. You’d think that banging it up as soon as possible is the best decision – the longer it’s up, the more time there is for the double, right? Wrong.
An Instagram post scheduling site Hopper HQ has analysed data from 1.2 million Instagram posts and come to the conclusion that the best time to pop up the pics is between 6pm and 7.30pm on weekdays, and around 11am on weekends.
It makes sense when you think about it, on the weekdays most people are getting home and relaxing that time, meaning more time for social media than they would have during the day. And on the weekend, you’re waking up from a lie in and scrolling through Insta in bed before you start the day.
The site also analysed what kind of subjects get the most interaction from followers. Personal journey photos (like before and after weight loss) come in top, with animals second and landscapes third. Where the selfies at?
